The Office of the SAMAHAN Vice President supervises the internal affairs of the SAMAHAN Central Board and leads the Student Assembly. The Office is composed of the following committees: Executive Committee and the Legislative Support and Monitoring Bureau (LSMB).
The SAMAHAN Department of Academic Affairs (DAA) serves as the academic arm of the SAMAHAN, under the Office of the SAMAHAN Vice President. At its core, the department is committed to promoting the academic welfare of the student body. It strives to provide support through various initiatives that respond to students' academic needs. The DAA also plays a role in examining and reflecting on academic policies, contributing student-centered insights that help improve the learning environment.
The SAMAHAN Department of Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DDRRM) is the helping arm of the Ateneo de Davao University by providing its services to its constituents. The organization also aims to develop and implement effective disaster response plans and protocols to ensure the safety of everyone in the university in the event of a disaster. Additionally, the department aims to establish partnerships and collaborations with local government units and other organizations to enhance the university community's disaster risk reduction and management efforts.
We, the members of the SAMAHAN Political Affairs and Engagements Department of the Samahan ng mga Mag-Aaral ng Pamantasang Ateneo de Davao, recognizing the crucial role of political engagement and leadership in shaping the future of our university and society, hereby establish this department to promote informed and active participation among students.
The Atenean Help Desk was made available from July 14–23 through both online submissions and an on-site desk from July 21–23. The initiative provided students with accessible guidance on academic requirements, policies, and program-related concerns, ensuring a smoother transition and a more informed start to the semester.
Ready, Set, Future! X DAA-logue was a two-part initiative supporting the holistic formation of first-year and transferee students in line with the Fortiores vision. The program fostered peer-to-peer mentorship through the DAA-logue segment, where upper-year students shared guidance, life lessons, and values-centered reflections on navigating university life. Meanwhile, the Ready, Set, Future! segment offered career development sessions led by experts, equipping attendees with skills for job readiness and professional branding, preparing them to become discerning and adaptive leaders.
Knights at the Round Table 4 (#KATRD4) was held at Finster Auditorium, featuring a panel of experts discussing juvenile accountability and the legal and social responsibilities of youth. The event provided students with insights into youth justice, encouraging critical engagement with laws affecting minors and fostering awareness of civic and legal responsibilities.
Ang Panukala is a two-day capacity-building workshop designed to strengthen the skills of Ateneo student legislators, equipping them with the knowledge, confidence, and purpose needed to craft responsive policies and actively contribute to student governance.
The Magis Through Legis workshop, conducted by the Legislative Support and Monitoring Bureau (LSMB), provided student leaders with training in legislative writing, parliamentary procedure, and participatory policymaking. Through interactive sessions, simulations, and collaborative exercises, participants enhanced their skills in drafting student-centered policies and navigating deliberative processes, strengthening the capacity and integrity of the Student Assembly to respond effectively to the evolving needs of the Ateneo de Davao University community.
The SAMAHAN Multisectoral Council, the sectoral arm of the student government, was launched to foster inclusive and participatory governance at Ateneo de Davao University. Serving as a consultative and collaborative platform, the council engages student leaders and university administrators, amplifies sectoral voices, and ensures equitable representation for all sectors—including student organizations, minority groups, and cause-based movements—strengthening democratic dialogue and social responsibility across the campus community.
